What is Tahara Nepal’s Child Sponsorship
Program like?
Tahara Nepal has designed the Child
Sponsorship Program with the idea and hope
that small contributions of money and
supplies can benefit and even change the
lives of many orphans, poor and needy
children, as well as their communities.
What does Tahara Nepal do for their
Sponsors?
Tahara Nepal
provides the link between the sponsor and
the child by:

collecting children’s photos and
biographical information and sending this to
the Sponsors.
o
collecting children’s progress reports and
regularly sending copies to the Sponsors
o
helping the children to make birthday, New
Year and Christmas greeting cards to send to
their Sponsors
Who can receive support in the Child
Sponsorship Program?
Children who are:
o
Financially very poor
o
Orphans
o
Street children
o
Victims of war
o
HIV affected/infected children
o
Mentally and
physically disabled
Who is encouraged to get involved in the
program?
o
Local people
o
Overseas individuals, organizations,
donor-agencies and other Tahara Nepal
volunteers.

What kind of commitment is required from the
Sponsor?
Tahara Nepal wants to have a long-term
impact on the children's lives. The perfect
situation would be if the child can be
sponsored until he finishes his 10th
grade. But, as mentioned earlier, all the
support, even the smallest, can help us, so
you can always decide to step into the
Sponsorship Program at any time you want.
Is it possible to sponsor more than 1 child?
Of course!
You are welcome to sponsor more than one
child.
